Our vision is to promote Travelers Rest as the premier small town destination for exciting arts, entertainment, and culture in the Southeastern United States. Through ongoing events and programs aimed at mentoring today’s local emerging artists, as well as new initiatives that will empower and stimulate more established creatives, we strive to foster a strong community and economic growth opportunities through Art in the Upstate.

Travelers Rest is home to a vibrant, thriving arts scene and lively creative community. Art Upstate members represent the very best in the visual arts, music, dance, theater, literary and multidisciplinary arts in the region. At Art Upstate, we work to support, sponsor and promote our members’ work as well as that of our partners, our community organizations and businesses. Our members benefit from artists gatherings, meetings and professional assistance throughout the year. A certified 501(c)(3), Art Upstate has plans for community projects, workshops to help artists with their business plans, and bringing new, exciting exhibits into Travelers Rest and the Upstate.
